The Duri camp is closing and all expats are moving to Rumbai. We greatly enjoyed our 10 months here (even with the haze). The bus ride from Duri to Rumbai is notorious as it can take anywhere from 3 hours to 26 hours (no joke). Due to the haze and a new flight in Dumai, we managed to live here without ever making the ride. We were planning to leave that way, but due to some logistical issues, we ended up taking our first and last bus ride as we left Duri.
It is tradition for everyone to go see you off when you are leaving camp.
