Jacob started Kindergarden at JIS today. It was a long road getting him admitted and then finally enrolled... Zachary should be going to school there, too, but the school ran into some issues late in the 2013-2014 school year and now they are having difficulty getting visas for teachers and licenses from the government. Hopefully, Zach will be able to start in January!
Mom was here to help Jake get ready this morning.
Jake was willing to do some poses for pictures this morning. We let him pick out his own outfit - the only guidance being that he had to wear a collared shirt. He choose to wear his new Batik shirt from Bali! Stylin'!!
These are the shots right as Jake got on the "school bus." When we were thinking of a school bus, both Molly and I pictured a big yellow thing. The smaller side roads in Jakarta won't allow for those big buses circulating on a daily basis. Instead, they use these 12-passenger vans with a seatbelt in every seat and a "chaperone" to make sure the kids are happy the whole ride. It's not so much 'school bus' as it is 'limousine!'
