Since the Fourth of July was on a Thursday this year, it seemed like a given to get together with the Thursday night group to celebrate.

The kids had a great time splashing around in the pool and then they participated in a science experiment.
Harry wisely set out of this one.
But the older boys had a great time making Goo!
Then we walked over to the open park area and Troy (yes, one of the Dads) shot off a homemade rocket made out of a two liter soda bottle. Of course all of the Dads and boys thought it was amazing. I think the rest of us thought the best part was watching all of the men try to get it out of the tree it landed in...
We all had a great time, but tomorrow is a work day, so we went home before the fireworks. Maybe next year.
