Jake's First Day of School

Jake was very excited to start his first day of "three year old school". He visited for an hour or so the week earlier and cried...when it was time to leave. He just ran into the classroom today and started playing. No tears, just a simple 'Bye Mom'.

Jake and his new friend, Vir. Vir and Jake are the only two boys with five girls in the class. Jake loves his teacher, Ms. Laura.

Jake only cried once during his first week of school. About the second day he woke up from his nap crying. Ms. Laura asked him what was wrong. He replied "I am just having too much fun". Ms. Laura suggested he lay back down for a few minutes. Jake complied and woke up happy again :)

Jake's new school is special to me too. I have worked for the past five plus years to get a child care center at work. The sign below is posted outside the front door (names / address blurred out for the blog)
